Breath Stage
During the breath stage, the portals close, and the beams disappear. He continues to use his Nether Burn ability, but also starts using Netherbreath. Netherbreath is a very powerful attack, often inflicting over 4000 damage to multiple players while also knocking them back, sometimes outside of the range of their healers.

Netherbreath damage can be minimized if players stand close to Netherspite's model and then rotate away from the direction the dragon is pointing in when he starts casting Netherbreath. The casting time is about 2.5 seconds, which allows most players to move out from the cone area affected by the breath.

At the end of a breath stage, all aggro is reset, so DPS classes must wait for the tank to gain aggro.

The GOOD news is that I'll be available both days.

The BAD news is that my time will be limited on Saturday thanks to my mom thinking my younger sister needed two wedding receptions. (She got married in May, so why she needs another in July...) Anyway, if my parents are on the ball (which they usually aren't), I'll be dragged away at 10:30 a.m. server time. Kind of stinks to me, since one of my gear drops is the chess event...

Anyway, if we start on time we should be able to clear through most of Karazhan the first day. I guess this means I should plan ahead again and make with the fishing so we have happy casters and hunters.

Ezmac and Pulpable, I have plenty of ravager dogs, so please take them! Darn Netherwing dailies keep filling my pockets with them.

...but I can't go late on either day...

Probably just have Dend heal for that last half hr. No big deal.

Dend has been building quite an off-heal set and actually has more bonus heals than biloba....so i will gem it out and be ready to restokin away thos rel's big awesome heals will definitely be missed....

If all goes well, my parents will be behind schedule until 11 a.m. anyway. I can secretly hope! (I really don't want to miss the chess event if we do an awesome job of clearing again. What do you want to bet that my leggings would drop if I weren't around to receive them?)

I happened to check the time after Chess Event and it was 3 hrs. on the dot. I'm sure we'll be there in less time next wk.

The above two statements contradict each other.

What say we put the new stopwatch into action and see how long it takes us to clear and to what stopping point? I do want another crack at Netherspite, hopefully when we have a bit of time in case it takes a few tries to get the battle down.

The only real trouble I had the last time was being in range of other people to keep them healed. Netherspite's so massive it seems a bad idea to stand near him - despite not taking damage from standing next to him. At least he's somewhat see-through...

Anyway, lets all try to be started at 8:00 a.m. so we can get as far as possible. (And yes, I hate that I'm being dragged away on Saturday.)

Since there is no aggro on this fight, I would encourage people to stand close to Netherspite. That'll take care of that problem.
(If you don't know, ranged get a bonus on threat reduction if they are, in fact at range)

Changed the assignments a little bit because apparently the green beam reduces energy/rage costs.

It would be a lot easier for me if I could go second so that I don't have to look (and guess) which color of beam I am in and I can just find the person I am to follow. Please consider and let me know.
