Add Ons Empty Add Ons

Post by hawktranny Sun Jun 24, 2007 10:28 pm

i've been hesitant to add a bunch of mods for fear of malicious code and general errors. has anyone found a particular "brand" to be really reliable?

Also, as far as add ons go, i noticed on a few other guilds' forum pages they have required add ons for raiding/instancing. I don't think that such a policy needs to be adopted, but it might be useful to see what they're using.

Just a thought, inviting commentary...

Optional addons:
http://www.mutekiguild.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2771

Alot of the good ones are listed in there Smile

The few times I tried AddOns, they were either obsolete, or caused complete chaos within the game itself. (I tried getting one that was 'necessary' for scheduling guild instance runs and raids, but after a new patch the thing went insane spamming my channels with stupidity. I finally deleted the thing entirely.)

I'd much prefer Blizzard incorporate some of the better AddOns into the game itself since I just seem to be cursed with bad luck finding anything that works. For now I'm content to play the game without any extras.

All the addons I dl'ed are fine so far. I particularly like the one that tracks cooldowns as that helps me immensely. You might wanna avoid SW Stats for the simple reason its minimap button covers Find Minerals (argh) and I dont even know what it does yet. Also everytime you hover over the Metamap minimap button it opens to a menu and that can be annoying, but the addon itself is excellent.

I find that the addons from http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/addons/ are all legit.

My faves or CT_Mod, Bagnon, atlas, altas loot enhanced and titan bar.
