Timely raiding = having a life

Okay, hammering out more details with our A.W.O.L. tankadin (who better graduate with honors, if he knows what's good for him), but if we want to get serious about raiding, we need people to show up. I know most people in the guild do hold down jobs, so raiding during the week is most likely out of the question. I like my weekend as much as the next person, but...

What if we were to set aside 8-11 a.m. (server time) on Sundays?

That way people on the East Coast aren't up past the crack of dawn to raid with the rest of the guild, but also ensures we finish earlier in the day so we can all actually do other things afterward. I know at least Ezmac expressed interest in raiding earlier in the day. Would this be acceptable?

Sunday mornings is a fantastic idea, however could we please make it 9 a.m., or better yet, 10 a.m.? This would greatly help out the mages who either work 3:30-midnight on Saturday nights, or if they're off then, 3:30-midnight on Sundays. Otherwise, that is a very very long day and might not be much chance for a nap once things get rolling. I know that gets things going late for the East Coast folks, but that's really early for any West Coast folks who work late.

I have church at 1:00 p.m., and not even a raid is going to make me miss that. I'd not be able to be online later than 12:00 p.m. without getting flak from my own conscience.

How about 9 a.m.-noon then? That would really help out those of us on the West Coast who do have late nights on Saturdays and would really appreciate the sleep. Another suggestion is Saturday mornings.

Works for me in Central Time Zone...and i can even sleep in still

That's kind of a late end time for an east coaster...3 pm
2 pm was kinda pushing it but 3 is really pushing it. If we could do 7-10 on Sat. that would be awesome for me but probably fairly punishing to west coasters

P.S Hawktranni has wanted morning day raiding in the past as well.

No complaints from me if we did it at 7 a.m., but I tend to be an early riser, anyway. Early to bed, early to raid.

*dies* It is for this one!! Surely there's more folks out there who want to get a little extra sleep on the weekends as well and/or have night jobs? *goes beating away the crickets*

How about this: Is there enough people in the guild (and friends) to warrant two raid times? One at the forsaken early hours for those who are early risers/East Coast, and ones for the folks who want to sleep in/work late/West Coast? I'm still a big fan of the 9 a.m.-12 p.m. time myself. Chev, it's still not as bad as starting the raids at 11 a.m. West Coast or 2 p.m. West Coast like we've done in the past.

We are definitely not big enough to do 2 times...we need more people's input.

Starting at 12 would really be a drag for me, I would rather do it during the night then that late.

Real gamers don't need caffeine to be good! And starting at 6 I could also easily do. So nice to be able to go to bed and wake up when I want.

I'm not good for anything before 2p, after that I'm good until 3a....which is why I'm not good until 2p.

I could do it later in the day, but not until past 3 p.m. I'd not want to go any later, since again, that would be keeping people on the East Coast up too late. Mondays are always looming behind Sunday.

I'm a fan of early in the day and if worse came to worse, I would do 8-11, but that's mainly because Saturday and Sunday mornings are the only times where they can't schedule me to work. Other than that, some weekday evenings for me are free but again, it causes problems for folks on the East Coast who work/have school in the morning.
